Title:
Empathy window doesn't show any message when contacts write

Status in Empathy:
  New
Status in Messaging Menu:
  Invalid
Status in Telepathy Indicator:
  New
Status in empathy package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  1) login an account
  2) just tell someone to send you a message

What I expect to see: the blue icon shows up, click on the friend name
and automatically open the chat window with your contact's message.

Result: The window opens but there is no message in it. You must close
the window, open Empathy, open a new chat window with that contact and
  see what he wrote.

The system is Ubuntu 12.04 amd64, everything updated.

Title:
  New messages do not show

Status in empathy package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I send a message to a friend (using my Google account), close that particular
chat window, and when I receive a notification on my system stating he or she
replied, I go back to Empathy and click back on the user's name.
It opens up the same chat thread, but with his or her comments nowhere to be
found.

I can't seem to see what the issue may be :/
