Same issue. It also appears that "larger" directories (with more files,
subdirs) take longer to open than "smaller" ones. I don't think I
noticed the problem until moving to 23.X.

I'd like to revive this bug report. I have both an HP 9480m and a 9470m
and two of these HP Slim docks and have this same issue with them as is
reported here. I've attempted the workarounds that have been reported,
but have yet to find any success. (I'm still methodically working
through the
I just upgraded 16.10 -> 17.04 and this defect still is present. The bad
/usr/lib/NetworkManager/conf.d/10-globally-managed-devices.conf was
recreated and I had to delete it to get my wired LAN back.

I encountered this defect defect on an upgrade from 16.04 to 16.10. I
removed the /usr/lib/NetworkManager/conf.d/10-globally-managed-
devices.conf file and it resolved the problem.
Any reason why a fix is not being applied?

Same issue with Dash flicker. Background seems okay though. When

the system lost screen display on boot. Booting with nomodeset had no

I could log in remotely and see lightdm was NOT running, and from
