It's still a problem in the latest Firefox:
$ apt-cache policy firefox
firefox:
Installed: 24.0+build1-0ubuntu1
Candidate: 24.0+build1-0ubuntu1
Version table:
*** 24.0+build1-0ubuntu1 0

Any update for this one?

Title:
regression - Esc no longer stops animations
Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
If an example is needed, here is a page with an animation that won't
stop:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eris_%28dwarf_planet%29
The second image just cycles continuously regardless of pressing Esc or
not.

I thought that was ONLY ME!
While I was watching some videos (browser based), whenever I press ESC, it
does nothing. I have to press Alt+F4 to close the FULL SCREEN. Before, ESC was
doing the trick. Now, it does not. Not sure if this the same issue we are
talking about here?
