Hello,
alright, I already contacted Kyocera support. They're basically saying that the
Postscript file seems to be incorrect (an object, the image object) is not part
of the document or at the wrong position. From their point of view it seems to
an error by the software creating the Postscript
I will try to capture the PS created by Firefox and Chrome tonight.
Maybe we can compare it somehow, since the printer eats both PS (but not
the Opera one).

Sorry, I haven't spoken, read or written German since I was at school!
But Google translate did a good enough job to get the idea of what they
said and, frankly, I strongly disagree with what they say.
What they have written implies that they have not actually analysed the
Postscript you have
Hi Till,
well, surprise: it IS working using Firefox 26.0 and Chrome
31.0.1650.63. - I thought, I tested it, before filing this bug here.
So it is an error w/ Opera?

Yes, it seems so.
Best is naturally that this gets reported to Opera and fixed there, or
better that Opera switches to PDF output which is already standard for
some years. So the Opera developers need to get informed.
We could do a workaround (not a fix!) though, detecting Opera's
PostScript
If I am correct, and (like the cases we've hacked around with the Ghostscript
output) the Postscript is perfectly valid and correct,
you may find that the Opera developers aren't willing to change that perfectly
valid Postscript output to work around a bug in a printer.
Really this is very
kniffte, can you print normally if you use another browser than Opera,
like Firefox or Chromium?

I continued my checks and found some weird results. Basically, I tried two
things:
1. using Knoppix 7.0
2. printing the page as ps, converting it to pdf, printing it to the Kyocera
1. Using Knoppix, I wasn't able to open the .ps-file I provided w/ this bug. So
I opened the page again in Knoppix

Again, that all points to the bug being in the printer. The fact you can
convert the PS to PDF is a strong indication that the PS is correct (as
per the PS specification).
Don't forget that both PDF and PS are vector formats, so have nearly
infinite variations in how to produce (near) identical

Alright, I provided the remaining data (hopefully everything you need -
contact me, if anything is missing). I tried to print it directly, using
lpr not cups - same result.
I also subscribed Chris Liddell, Ghostscript upstream developer, as
requested by

Sorry, but the file attached above (GoogleMapsPrintout.ps) appears to be
a direct export from Opera (the metadata has: %%Creator: Opera),
rather than the Postscript captured as detailed here:

Okay, that's what we need to see, thanks.
However, that Postscript comes from Opera, not from Ghostscript, so I'm
not really the upstream contact.
As far as I can tell, that's valid Postscript, so the problem is a bug
in the printer - it should really be reported to Kyocera.

Hi Till,
using Kubuntu 13.10-desktop the problem persists.
It is still
Error Name: /limitcheck
Offending command: --image--
Note: Again, I was using the vendor-provided PPDs, since Cups does not
provide PPDs for FS-1100D (for e.g. FS-1200D it is available).
Thanks.

It seems that you have a not yet covered bug in a printer's built-in
PostScript interpreter. Please proceed as described in section
PostScript (PDF) printer chokes on the PostScript (PDF) coming from
Ubuntu on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingPrintingProblems.

Can you boot a live CD/USB stick with 13.10 and tell whether your
printer prints your Google Maps file correctly with this system? Thanks.
