[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1731128] Re: script using continously 100% cpu core
Maybe not a very reliable source, but https://imgur.com/gallery/xUarH mentions that this hanstrackr thing might be doing some cryptocurrency mining behind your back. You should try and identify which web page embeds this subframe, close it, and report it to the webmaster. I'm going to close this bug as it's not a chromium issue really, just a malicious script. ** Changed in: chromium-browser (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to chromium-browser in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1731128 Title: script using continously 100% cpu core Status in chromium-browser package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Each time chromium-browser is loaded, i'm seeing a full cpu core usage. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1731128] Re: script using continously 100% cpu core
Is your previous browsing session restored when you launch chromium? If so, it would be useful to identify which tab is consuming so much CPU. You can invoke the chromium task manager with Shift+Esc to find that out. ** Changed in: chromium-browser (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to chromium-browser in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1731128 Title: script using continously 100% cpu core Status in chromium-browser package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Each time chromium-browser is loaded, i'm seeing a full cpu core usage.
