[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1731128] Re: script using continously 100% cpu core

2017-11-09 Thread Olivier Tilloy
Maybe not a very reliable source, but https://imgur.com/gallery/xUarH
mentions that this hanstrackr thing might be doing some cryptocurrency
mining behind your back. You should try and identify which web page
embeds this subframe, close it, and report it to the webmaster.

I'm going to close this bug as it's not a chromium issue really, just a
malicious script.

comment2: https://hanstrack.com also fail with a "404" page
That url could be an embedded Phoronix script.

browsing session restored ?
the browser is loaded cleanly, there is no restored popup.

Task manager identify : "Subframe:http://hanstrackr.com/; as the faulty
cause.

i've no clue about that url; and seem failing due to be a http, not a https url.
that address seem pointing to facebook service (which i've never used)

2017-11-08 Thread Olivier Tilloy
Is your previous browsing session restored when you launch chromium?
If so, it would be useful to identify which tab is consuming so much CPU. You
can invoke the chromium task manager with Shift+Esc to find that out.
