The dialog appears sometimes frontmost, sometimes in the background, depending on how recently you focused another window. 3. The dialog disappears behind the maximized window. What should happen: 2. The dialog should always appear frontmost. 3. The dialog should always appear frontmost. I'm not sure whether this is a bug in gnome-session or compiz. This bug and bug 154547 are mutually exclusive, depending on the resolution of bug 251211.
