Re-reading my answer, I doubt it is clear what I meant. What I mean is: No, the issue is not occurring anymore. I have been using Nautilus in the form of GNOME Files, and have copied large amounts of data frequently. Noted that I use Debian Stable, so I guess it is save to say it will not occur
