I've came here after some googling. Comments #119 #120 helped me to
check Dash to Dock. I've simply reinstalled Dash to Dock (log out and

Well, similar experience for me today, booted and logged in okay, but
then the desktop session died leaving monitor backlight and keyboard
lights on, but no other sign of life. Shutting lid to suspend then
resume didn't help, had to hard power off. Then on next boot, it hung
after login, but

When I was dragging around the discord icon around, Gnome froze and the
icon remained in place. This was happening when I was compiling gettext
and it was using memory. However, even after the compilation stopped and
the memory went down, Gnome keeps the icons in place,
I'm having this issue in Ubuntu 20.04.

eog (a GNOME image viewer) doesn't support HiDPI
To add to this, the zoom factor is doubled (halved?). That is, when the
zoom is set to 100% it's actually displaying the image at 200%
resolution. To see the image at it's correct size the zoom must be set
to 50%.
