This bug has been fixed with gnome-sofware 3.28, which is found in Ubuntu 18.04 (bionic). I submitted a patch for the ubuntu-reviews plugin within GNOME Software, https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-software/merge_requests/11, which has now been merged by Robert.
