Re: IMP:: DB is very slow for large data

2018-02-06 Thread Saransh Sharma
I think you can use second level caching , I have seen similar cases where
DB becomes slow while fetching reports of several thousand cases.

You can use elastic search as a middle level layer to index all data and
search them.

Thanks

Hi Nenge,

That's wonderful that you'd like to take up work on this issue. I and
nobody else in the community is a gatekeeper to having you work on the
issue so you don't need to ask permission to work on it. However,
unfortunately the JIRA permissions don't allow you to assign the issue to
yourself.

Let me know your ID for Apache Fineract JIRA and I'll assign the issue to
you. I couldn't find an ID for you while searching to assign it to you.

Please keep the community posted on progress in the comments on the issue
and via the mailing list. If others have also done work on this issue,
hopefully they'll comment too.

The current documentation about release management states that

"Release branches are created every two months at the beginning of the
following month from the changes that were merged by the last day of
the previous month" (1)

That's just a draft, and we haven't been keeping to that. To do that,
we'd need multiple volunteers to step up and take on the release
management role. It doesn't have to be just people who've already
done it, and probably even if those people were on board in principle,
they are not enough in number to keep it consistent.

In addition to those who've already been involved in release
management, is anyone who is currently working on Fineract 1.x
interested in learning to do it?

Myrle

Hey all,

When we do well, I wish to highlight our successes.

Fineract was picked out as one of two projects which gave exemplary
board reports in January. The board receives reports on roughly a
quarter of its more than 300 projects every month, and this month all
of them were very good. But ours stood out.

As Phil said "challenges as well as progress are called out and a
complete picture of the state of the project is presented"

I'd especially like to thank Ed Cable for his contributions in this respect.

Hey Ed,

Have you tried this?

As long as we stick to our naming convention this should consistently work.

I can't change topics on our repositories. If you want to do this,
you should open a ticket with infra.

Database configure in Pentaho conflicts with tenant with different db in url

2018-02-06 Thread Innocent Marozva
Hi Devs

Hi all, I noticed that there is a conflict of database in pentaho and a
tenant with a different database to that of the one set in pentaho , when I
query a pentaho(customized) report on web the report will pick data of
dfffrnt db or the report will not come out. Using Mifos X version 17.07.01 .
This issue occurs when I change the database in pentaho.

Configurations in pentaho

This will only affect customized reports

Please kindly assist where am wrong.

Regards

The current documentation about release management states that

"Release branches are created every two months at the beginning of the
following month from the changes that were merged by the last day of
the previous month" (1)

That's just a draft, and we haven't been keeping to that. To do that,
we'd need multiple volunteers to step up and take on the release
management role. It doesn't have to be just people who've already
done it, and probably even if those people were on board in principle,
they are not enough in number to keep it consistent.

In addition to those who've already been involved in release
management, is anyone who is currently working on Fineract 1.x
interested in learning to do it?

Myrle
