Hi Sampath,

We are on latest version 17.07.01.

I have checked x_registered_table in the DB and yes the datatables are all 
there even the ones I dropped are still in this table.

Data Table Not Shown in UI

Devs,

 

We have a strange issue with one of our tenants.

 

When creating a data table the table gets created on the database but the
same table is not visible in the community app.

 

I have tried dropping the table from the database and recreated it but same
thing happens.

 

What is more interesting is there are other tenants on same server and data
tables created can be viewed without any issues.

 

Could anyone be having an idea of what could be the issue and how we can
resolve it?

As we prepare to launch the Mifos Mobile Banking App powered by Apache 
Fineract, one thing I realize we need to make easy for the sys admin of the app 
is the ability to change the logo to that of the financial institution offering 
the app to their customers.

Most organizations will want to have the app have the look and feel of their 
organization (at least their logo)

While some orgs will want to take the codebase and build their own APK and 
distribute their own version of the app directly or through the Play store, I 
foresee the real-life scenario would be the financial institution would direct 
their end users to go to the Google Play store and search for Mifos Mobile. The 
user would download that app and then when logging in they would see the logo 
of the financial institution that they belong to. This logo would replace where 
the Mifos logo is currently (we still would like to retain some of the Mifos 
branding in the app though). Ultimately they might also want to change the 
mobile app icon too to their org.

Should we just create a section in the Mifos X web app, where they can upload 
the logo they want displayed in the mobile banking app?

Perhaps within the Mifos X Web App admin section there will be a control panel 
of sorts where the financial institution can manage their self-service channels 
(mobile and online banking apps). This is where we can also put the user 
creation/management functionality. It could also be where they could initiate 
in-app notifications from. As we improve our customer support mechanisms 
through the app, incoming requests could come here.

I created ticket at https://github.com/openMF/self-service-app/issues/431
to track discussion. Will likely need to create the appropriate tickets on 
Apache Fineract and Mifos X web app issue trackers to support the same.

I think it would be appropriate to have a function to waive all penalties at 
once.

 

We have also received complains that its tiresome to waive one by one 
especially for daily accrual and when the charges have accrued for a long time.

 

We have a client who has devised a workaround when they want to close a loan 
account with penalties accrued; they record all payments made to the loan and 
do “Undo Disbursal” which reverses all payments and removes the penalties 
accrued. Then they disburse the loan again and reapply the payments made to 
close the loan account.

In the loan account, go to 'Charges' tab and click on waive the charge. Check 
the screenshot.  But each charge(penalty) must be waived one by one. Can't

I don’t think you need to deploy multiple war files nor have different .mifosx 
and pentaho folders for each client.

 

Mifos X supports multi-tenants, you just need to create these tenants in your 
AWS server. Try following this thread

Let us know if you still face any problems and will be able to assist you.

 

For the custom reports, you can put all of them in .mifosx >> pentahoReports

Hi Benson,

 

On your proposal for investors, I think there is no need to have another entity 
developed for Investors since you can create FD and RD accounts for clients. 
Creating another entity would require creation of new data tables and/or 
amendments to the current tables and also code changes cannot be avoided.

 

You would want to create different clients classifications and have Investors 
as one of the classifications which will help you when developing reports.

 

Under clients, we have 2 entities i.e. PERSON or ENTITY (for organizations). If 
the investor is an organization you can as well create them as ENTITY.

 

This is my thought, let others give their opinions as well.

Just as a point of concern for some clients who would like to handle the 
investor relations separately from other loan clients…would we consider to have 
another portal that specifically takes care of those Investors.

 

Infact we can have

Centres

Investors

 

Investors is similar to clients just that they only deposit (Fixed and 
Recurrent Products)

 

The other items is if possible to have three Interest Calculation forms:

1.  Same as number of repayment
2.  Daily
3.  Same as Loan Term

The challenge is when the Loan term is 9months and repayment is 4 then interest 
calculates on the 4 months and not the 9 months. This presents a different case.

Hi,

 

I need help on the below functionality.

1.  I am having 2 ledger accounts for the fund source(Account1 and 
Account2).
2.  While disbursing the loan to a client, System has to deduct the amount 
from Account1.
3.  When the client repays the loan, System has to credit the repayment 
amount to Account 2.

Can I configure the same in accounting?

The next Mifos X distribution that is powered by the latest Apache Fineract 
release will be shipped this Monday most likely. We had been waiting for the 
merging of the newly re-skinned web app before we could release as we didn't 
want the re-skin code base to fall behind the platform once again.

 

What specific issues were you awaiting fixes on so I can ensure those are in 
this release.

Mifos X Connection - RDS Instance

Devs,

 

Has anyone ever successfully connected Mifos X server to work with an Amazon
RDS instance?

 

We are facing an issue as Pentaho Reports do not populate any data that's in
the system. Stretchy reports do give out data.

 

Kindly advise the steps taken to achieve this.

Overdraft Fee as %

Getting below error when defining charge calculation to be %amount and
charge time type is Overdraft Fee:

 

validation.msg.charges.charge.calculation.type.percentage.allowed.only.for.w
ithdrawal.or.noactivity

 

We need to define a fee which is 5% of the overdrawn amount, how can this be
achieved?

Yes I was able to receive the attachment as you had included my email. Probably 
the admin of the email list can adjust security settings to allow .sql files 
which are now filtered off.

 

I think the pasted script now helps all members in the community who would want 
to implement such a feature.

Whenever I send mail with attached file in the mailing list, attached file is 
missing at receiving end but if I send to personal e-mail, receiver is able to 
receive attached file. I don't know what the problem is.

 

By the way, below following script was given to Usman:

 

INSERT INTO `c_configuration` (`name`, `value`, `date_value`, `enabled`, 
`is_trap_door`, `description`) 

VALUES ('client-age', NULL, NULL, 1, 0, 'Client age description');

 

And the script should be named as V326__client_age_validation.
