Not sure - good question. Can anyone else advise (I pinged Bill on the side, but suspect he's busy)? I guess a "big hammer" approach to enable thread safety would be to wrap the whole thing with a static mutex... but I'm not sure that's the most elegant solution. I'm also not sure I see what is unsafe... -- Daniel Ruggeri
