Hi
I think it’s a personal standpoint. For me, properties format is fine but I
understand people may like other format.
First, if we want to change the format it would be only on a major release
bump, meaning 4.4.x currently.
Second, the log:* commands have to be updated because they expect

Hi everyone,
I submit Apache Karaf runtime 4.3.4 to your vote (take #3).
This release includes dependency upgrades, fixes, and improvements, especially:
- upgrade to Pax Logging 2.0.12, upgrading to log4j2 2.0.15, fixing important
security issue (CVE-2021-44228) and fixing JNDI issue
- align
In that case, it’s weird as Karaf uses jdk11 to build and I don’t see such
issue.
Do you have a test repo where I can take a look ?
Thanks

Do you use jaxb version provided by the plugin ou you define your own jaxb
version ?

Hi guys
I’m working on Felix FileInstall release fixing the first losing issue. I will
include couple of other important fixes.
I would like to submit Karaf 4.3.4 to vote during the week end or early next
week.
Thoughts ?

Hi everyone
Just to let you know that I’m preparing Karaf 4.3.3 release. I should be able

I have identified required updates and fixes. I’m on it.
I will keep you posted.

Good point and I agree.
Does it work for you if I add this to karaf 4.3.3 and 4.2.12 ?
Thanks for the proposal.

Maybe you can use a feature to describe your distribution and define the order
thanks to feature hierarchy ?

Hi
I changed the location of the shell history file. It could be related. Let me
check (I tested without problem).
I keep you posted.

Does it work with maven directly ?

Yes it will. Xbean, pax web, jetty, Aries proxy, ...

Yea it makes sense to use an empty file for 4.3. Actually, I think it makes
sense to do it by default on 4.3. I will create the jira related to that.

Hi
That’s normal: karaf 4.2.x uses blacklist so it provides the file, especially
to blacklist 4.3.x features repositories.
Karaf 4.3.x doesn’t use blacklist (as the version is newer).

Thanks for the confirmation the issue is actually fixed ;)
I’m moving forward on other tasks heading to the release.
