would it actually interfere with flexibility though?
say, if i used some other service manager besides systemd
and oprenc, how would i start networkmaneger ? - is there a
package of init scripts for any other service manager, which
would actually conflict with the openrc init scripts?
To be brief: the wiki needs to updated (I plan to do this later) and no,
i wouldn't put openrc init scripts in depends=() for any package, after
all, the repo is called "nonsystemd" and not "openrc".
This will give us the necessary flexibility to include more init
alternatives. See
the wiki need to be updated then
in https://wiki.parabola.nu/Installation_Guide
# pacstrap /mnt networkmanager
so that would need to become
# pacstrap /mnt networkmanager networkmanager-openrc
but it would be better if the nonsystend/networkmanager had the
init script package in it's depends=()
We have recently began a repackaging of `[nonsystemd]` packages (see
[#3290](https://labs.parabola.nu/issues/3290)). The `displaymanager-openrc`
package has been removed and specific init scripts have been added for their
respective display manager (e.g. `sddm-openrc` for `sddm`, `gdm-openrc`
