Thanks for adding this, Jan.
I'll take a look at the pages tomorrow.

Let me amend this a bit to be a little more informative.
SolrCloud will get a second shot, I'm bringing it up because I'm near
the end of the road on my effort toward that shot (bittersweet and
thank god). It will be visible, touchable, smellable and observable.
I am not a Solr PMC member, I
Did we get to any consensus on Google Analytics (or other) tracking?
Would have been nice to track the moment of split.

Alex.

We fixed JavaDoc and RefGuide on Solr side
(https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-15177) and redirects on Lucene side
(https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-15171) -- hopefully.
The Lucene redirects can be tested right now, e.g.
https://lucene-new.staged.apache.org/solr/guide/8_8/
Please see the updated code of conduct pages in staging sites:
Lucene: https://lucene-new.staged.apache.org/code-of-conduct.html
Solr: https://lucene-solrtlp.staged.apache.org/community.html#code-of-conduct
and https://lucene-solrtlp.staged.apache.org/community.html#mailing-lists-chat

Hi,
Javadocs and refguide do not work in staging sites. They can only be seen on
production servers. We can’t test those, but I am confident, Jan’s new htaccess
rules will work (they point to the special subversion production repo, still
shared by lucene/solr for the time being).
Uwe
Thanks for reviewing. Yes, the javadocs and refguide are not part of the site
git repo, but will materialize through .htaccess rules once the site is
published to the final location.

I like the sentiments in all of those links. I'd be +1 on including all 3
conduct, etiquette and apacheway links.

Thank you Jan! I clicked around a bit and it looks awesome, but I hit a
broken link for the Solr javadocs "Latest Release" link on this page:
https://lucene-solrtlp.staged.apache.org/resources.html -- likely this is
not an issue because
once this is moved to the right location, that link should
On the new "Project" page
(https://lucene-solrtlp.staged.apache.org/whoweare.html) I have attempted to
make some kind of TLP landing page, framing "what" and "who we are".
The path I have taken so far is, instead of duplicating a list of names, which
will get out of date, instead link to

Hi community!
The Apache Software Foundation has a foundation-wide Code of Conduct written up
(https://www.apache.org/foundation/policies/conduct), and I believe the Lucene
and Solr communities would benefit from explicitly adopting it for our
projects. This is an example of how HBase has done
