It has always worked for me, with the exception of the occasional "cvs: protocol
error data discarded", by which you just have to run it again (CVS server bug).

If you want to do a point release for it, that'd be fine. I'm really keen for
the plugins to released on their own merits and Maven just bundle the latest.

Setting maven.artifact.legacy=false will work as it defaults to SCP deployment using
distributionSite+distributionDirectory.
