As per earlier email, today is feature freeze for NetBeans 17, and the
delivery and release branches are being set up.
**Master is closed for a few hours - please don't merge anything until
the spec version increment is in and a follow up email sent.**

This is somewhat of a grey area to me. I often see PRs merged where
some reviewers don't weigh in. In any event, the PR should have

Any particular PR in mind? Is it a candidate for RC2?

I've read that, and I read it again before sending the message.
Guess I read it as
"All unapproved pull requests..."

Changed it to just a comment. I'm not sure how many people really use the

And I commented, quoted warning from Frame.getFrames() javadoc.
If rebased on delivery
Gradle projects using Gradle 8.0-rc-1 and 2 show a problem with
org.gradle.api.tasks.bundling.Jar.getClassifier()
All NetBeans says is that there is a warning. No other details. Nothing
relevant in messages.log

Is that on NB16 or the upcoming 17?
NB16 is not compatible with Gradle 8.0. We had to do a bunch of fixes
for that.
