Hi all,
Some (e.g., Josh) have argued we should include the enterprise cluster in
the upcoming release to support Jakarta EE.
One point to realize here is that no development has been done in this area
and the functionality in GitHub right now is identical to that provided by
8.2 plugins.

Hi again,
Just talked to infra. They indeed prefer to commit all the javadoc files
to git and then use the "asf-site" branch and gitpubsub. I'll keep you
posted on my findings and update Neil's confluence page with my findings.
Cheers,
Antonio

So shall we remove the bits.netbeans.org subdirectory at [1]?
Neil suggests "incubator-netbeans-website-docs" as a repository for
holding the javadoc files. I'm not sure we want to host these files in a
git repository, though. What does infra have to say? Maybe we could set
up a simple web dir
Hi all,
We're in the middle of a number of different activities at the moment.
1. A major achievement of the past month has been that we have finalized
the GitHub repo and now the structure is more manageable and more
organized, with modules in folders representing their clusters:

You're always going to have individual contributors from Oracle working on
Apache NetBeans, together with individual contributors from many other
organizations.
Note that Apache does not and never has worked with companies, always with
individual contributors.

If JavaHelp cannot be included, there'll be a replacement - hopefully
one with better formatting support. ;-)
However, currently I'm still using NB 8.2, so JavaHelp should work
easily ...
Kind regards

Sorry, what do you mean by 'a release version of the JavaDoc'? I.e., you
could get the sources of the 9.0 release and produce the javadoc from there
and you'd have the release version of the javadoc, wouldn't you?

Hi
JavaHelp itself is GPL, so it can't be included in the Apache Repo.
AFAIR Jarda said that Oracle may relicense the sources to a more Apache
friendly one. I am looking forward for a solution, too.
