move debian to Attic
Thank you Jacques.
I am going to work on the debian removal, that should be quick.
Another important milestone would be the creation of an extras.html page for
our website where we could list:
1) the components for OFBiz managed out of the OFBiz as Apache Extras
2) the components moved to Attic
Isn't it a good candidate for an external component (i.e. not bundled in OFBiz
and maintained by the OFBiz community)? I think we have already discussed this
topic some time ago and we concluded that
I also cursorily reviewed the patch and I have seen a series of issues (e.g.

an easy way to get rid of several links to Confluence (especially the ones
related to documentation) could be that of removing them from tab bars, side
bars, inline texts and move them all to the following page:

We could then add a text
I don't think this should be seen as an external component. The new
implementation is made to be part of OFBiz, like the junit tests we have.
The main issue for selenium integration was the license, there was some
components not consistent with the ASL2. I used ivy to download the jars

Thank you Erwan, but the information below doesn't help me to change my point
of view: the fact that the contribution was made to be part of the trunk and
that we already have Junit tests integrated doesn't necessarily imply that we
have to add this new one.
What do other think about this
Scott,
To save you time I recommend you look at:
1. Requirements and design attached in OFBiz 4941 in helppdf.zip
2. Test implementation at https://54.243.213.35:8443/humanres/control/main
where you can perform functional test against the use cases.

Jacopo,
using localhost is the way it should be. Like you are running unit tests on
your local instance, you are running functional tests on your local

This patch is only adding a new testing type which is not existing today.
It's why it is designed to be part of OFBiz as a new

also with the community on other aspects, to build a bright future to OFBiz :)

Hi Jacopo,
So apart the next step is to move all specialpurpose components to Apache
Extras. Are we still all OK to do that?
I heard here and there that not all the community is expecting good from this
move.
Like less attention to moved components or new component going only to Apache

functionality of the system, i do not agree:

I am concerned about this move to be honest. In general, the idea to focus
with apache ofbiz on its core and to cluster the other components into
external plugins is an important step, however, I do not think that moving
it all outside of ASF would help us by any means.
