What comes to my mind:
We have still 3 other projects on Pootle (JMeter, Subversion, CouchDB).
I don't see real activity there. Do they really use Pootle?
If not, we would not need to transfer them to a new server, I think.

I have now successfully converted the most recent en-US.sdf [1] to PO
files using Translate Toolkit.
That data could be imported into Weblate?

A quick search finds Weblate which can be deployed as a docker

We use for migrating between Po files and SDF the translation kit from pootle.
It is an own independand package. The latest version uses an newer Python
