to find out about it. I picked the page I did because when I want to
install software package X I type in Google "download X", and usually

ready which just needs to be filled with text and finally enabled to show.



If this does get us some more developers, I am volunteering to shepherd
and organize them. I don't think just telling them to pick something to
work on is an effective way of getting them started - we seem to lose a
lot of people at that point.


Thats great as this would be a question because it is a key point that
we need to satisfy: How to please new devs with mentors and work? ;-)


If we only get a few responses I plan to work with them individually. In
many cases my role will be to answer questions for which I happen to
know the answer and not be embarrassed to ask questions that reveal my
ignorance if necessary.

If we get a lot of responses I'll try to form them into mixed-skill
teams such that the members of each team can help each other.


It seems to me you are waiting already for new people. :-)

Depending upon who is doing the counting, and how they are counting,
there are between 198 and 350 countries in the world today.

That said, I was surprised by a couple of countries that were listed.

I am back to gbuild, have moved my Windows VM's disk to the faster ext3
filesystem, and have begun doing the only thing I can think of to debug
this: manually "bisection testing" the gbuild-reintegration branch to try
isolate which patch causes the build performance regression.

There is 136 patches ported from the branches/gbuild branch that have been
merged in batches to branches/gbuild-reintegration.
Patch 129 builds in 341 minutes.
Patch 43 builds in 335 minutes.

So it must be one of the 42 most recent patches.
Currently compiling patch 16.

Nice! I was thinking perhaps we should consider having a different build 
system for windows (capstone?) but if gbuild works that would be fine.


Can you please sync the gbuild-reintegration branch with trunk? There 
have been some library updates and it would be good to have all those 
changes together.
