Great hope to see the patch on bugzilla about those changes to the
source code. I am sure there could be a test build for QA to test it
out.

AOo in a multi-lingual environment

2014-07-11 Thread Toki
All:

A couple of days ago I found my source copy of version 0.6 of _OOo in a
Multi-Lingual Environment_ last night, in cleaning up files on my hard
drive. (This is from December 2004, and is for OOo 1.1.3-ZA.)

How fruitful would it be, to update it for AOo 4.x?

In spending roughly half an hour looking at what was described in that
document, my guess is that I'll be spending ten to fifteen hours trying
to determine the optimum workaround for the current version of LibO,
_if_ a workaround is possible, for each of around a dozen things that
were used as workarounds in OOo 1.1.3-ZA, that are not present in AOo 4.0.

Website: decorating the scrollpanes

2014-07-11 Thread Alexandro Colorado
Hi I would like to propose using a themed scrolledpane that will make
the overal design more attractive. For that I use a JScrollPane()
plugin from JQuery.

Here is a sample of it:
http://people.apache.org/~jza/index.html

Please comment. Colors can be adjusted on the CSS.

Re: Reporting a problem with the OpenOffice website

2014-07-11 Thread Marcus (OOo)

To tell it short:
The virus alert is a false-positive. OpenOffice is not infected by a
virus but the anti-virus software has a wrong defection.

The following is an excerpt from an answer for another mail:

1. Disable the anti-virus software before downloading OpenOffice.
Only download from the official source:

http://www.openoffice.org/download/

2. For download, do not select open, select Save and place in a
memorable location (your Download folder, for example).

3. Use any of the procedures for verifying the Download. This code is
not signed, so you will have to use either the PGP or the MD5/SHA
verifications. See here for procedures:

http://www.openoffice.org/download/checksums.html

4. In your anti-virus software, see if there is a setting where it will
only remove or quarantine files after confirmation by you. This will let
you over-rule it in the future, verifying the file yourself instead.

Hello,

I am April Schroader and I am originally from the Seattle, WA area and
now reside near Boise, ID.

I worked in the Tech Industry for 10 years doing QA, Software Testing,
Test Automation Development and Data Integration Testing. And then I had
my first little girl, and then my second, and then a third:-) I have
been out of the industry for 8 years raising them, homeschooling them,
and doing a little writing.

Now, it is time for me to return to Tech Work due to our current
financial situation and I know that I have to re-prove myself to get the
jobs. Since I have been using OpenOffice for a few years, it is time to
give back, gain experience, and get myself back on the bicycle, so to
speak. I will start with QA, but I really want to get back into the
development side of things (Test Automation) soon.

Look forward to engaging this community and seeing how I can best serve it.

Good to know. Do you happen to have any ideas about what's causing the
Linix-32 nightly, our current pre-release of 4.1.1 source, bot to fail
-- I think on update. It seems rather intermittent -- see:

http://ci.apache.org/builders/openoffice-linux32-nightly

but now it's failed again. :(

Do we need to do a clean update or something?
