[Comments, suggestions, improvements welcome.] Release Notes for Apache OpenOffice 4.1.3 General Remarks === Apache OpenOffice 4.1.3 is a maintenance release incorporating security fixes, updated dictionaries, and build fixes. The fix for security issue CVE-2016-1513, https://www.openoffice.org/security/cves/CVE-2016-1513.html, previously only provided in source code and as a Hotfix patch, is incorporated in the 4.1.3 binary distribution. Build Fixes === https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=127100 Make NSIS 3.* a build requirement for building Windows installers https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=127119 configure does not check all Perl modules that are used at build time https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=127120 Update code for downloading dependencies https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=127118 Update dmake URL in configure https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=127121 Update broken download URLs of external dependencies Updated Dictionaries https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=127112 Update bundled dictionaries for AOO 4.1.3 release The updated dictionaries are for English, German, Dutch, French, Italian, Spanish, Romanian, Russian, Slovenian, German (Austria), German (Switzerland), Khmer, Scottish Gaelic, Basque, Norwegian, Swedish, Portuguese (European), and Catalan. - To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@openoffice.apache.org

Re: Request for Nofollow or Removal of Links to My Site at Openoffice
Hi Dave, in a previous mail this month you have written that you are available for help in case of topics that belogs to Sourceforge. Actually we have now a case that needs to be worked on on your side. Like reported below they have a problem with redirected links from "templates.openoffice.org" that comes from a blocked user account. It would be great if you can contact the support team of Formbirds.com to coordinate what could be done. Thanks in advance. We want to get our templates shared to more users via your site and hired a SEO team to upload our templates to your site. But they are too aggressive and put too many links inside. Now we found thousands of backlinks from your site, which are actually bad to our site. We have contacted the SEO team to remove the links under the user accountsusie...@yandex.com, while they told us the account had been blocked and they couldn't log in to delete the links. We ask for the removal of all the links, or just add "nofollow" tag to those links pointed to our website from your side. Do you have any other fixes in mind? 2 persons with the same thought in the same minute. ;-) No more fixes in mind, and I believe it has been built in each environment, so I don't expect any more build fixes. Time to create a release candidate. great. I'll try to build 4.1.3 on Fedora 21 with the release options. Of course it's not the official baseline system. But maybe good enough to see if it's working. I get a problem with ant: Configure error message says the required version is >= 1.7.0. ant is installed with version 1.9.4. So, newer than the required 1.7.0. I've also set the symlink "ant -> /usr/bin/ant" and executing configure includes the "--with-ant-home=$HOME/ant" option. What else is needed to run configure successfully? I don't know why but after starting over and prepared the build again, it's now working. Finally I got a AOO 4.1.3 with release options - but only en-US. I used the following varaible + value in the build script: LANG="de en-US fr pt ja" OK, something for tomorrow. the language option seems to be a problem with the build script: Not OK: --with-lang="${LANGS}" OK: --with-lang="de en-US fr pt ja" BTW: Ratscan shows the following files without correct header: - main/LinuxX64-64Env.Set - main/LinuxX64-64Env.Set.sh - main/autom4te.cache/output.0 - main/autom4te.cache/requests - main/autom4te.cache/traces.0 - main/config.log - main/config.params - main/configure - main/warn Something to add to "main/rat-excludes"? Re: [4.1.3 release] Procedure for uploading binaries
I hope it's not too late. But it should be also a normal thing: Please take care that the naming structure for dirs and files is exactly the same like for the other 4.1.x releases. The only difference should be the version number. But what I've seen from the commits so far looks good. Otherwise it won't work together with the download webpage. ;-) Thanks Marcus Am 09/25/2016 04:48 AM, schrieb Ariel Constenla-Haile: On Sun, Sep 25, 2016 at 09:25:16AM +1000, Gavin McDonald wrote: -Original Message- From: Ariel Constenla-Haile [mailto:arie...@apache.org] Sent: Sunday, September 25, 2016 9:01 AM To: dev@openoffice.apache.org Subject: [4.1.3 release] Procedure for uploading binaries Hi there, IIRC we used to upload the packages to our home directory at people.apache.org, once there I don't recall what the RM did until the packages ended on the subversion dist repo. Where should we upload the binaries now? The normal place is https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/openoffice/ From there the RM can just 'svn mv' them from 'dev' to 'release' OK. So I started playing (do not get nervous, just with 4 files). This is my experiment: "svn mv" needs a working copy, so you need to checkout the repo, but there is no need to checkout the whole repo. Using http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.7/svn.advanced.sparsedirs.html you can do the following: svn co --depth immediates https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist cd dist/ svn up --set-depth immediates dev svn up --set-depth immediates dev/openoffice svn up --set-depth immediates release svn up --set-depth immediates release/openoffice If different committers are going to upload different binaries, it seems better to use svn import instead of checking out and then committing; for example: svn import \ -m "Prepare 4.1.3 release" \ --username arielch \ Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.3_MacOS_x86-64_install_ast.dmg.asc \ https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/openoffice/4.1.3/binaries/ast/Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.3_MacOS_x86-64_install_ast.dmg.asc (right now I checked these 4 files under dist/dev/openoffice/4.1.2 in order to test svn mv 4.1.2 4.1.3 with my previous sparse-dirs checkout).
