EPS files are Encapsulated Postscript files which have been supplanted by SVG
(Scalable Vector Graphics) and PDF (Portable Document Format.) It is very much
similar to a Postscript file for printing with the differences related to
bounding box and preview images in EPS vs. Page flow control in Postscript
files.

I did a lot of work producing EPS for pages (in Fortran) and then scripting the
collation of these into Postscript print files which were either printed or
“distilled” into a PDF. (PDF is a essentially a limited dialect of Postscript.)

What are the bugs that are happening with EPS?

Dave

I do not know how to deal with Issues around the EPS Export. Is this
more a Filter issue or is this more in terms of Printing? What would you
say? Or some other connect?

it's a file format that describes data in a graphical way. A modern
format today is PDF.

In OpenOffice Impress and Draw you can export a file into the EPS file
format.

Of course you can give an EPS file to a printer or printer shop. But you
can do this also with other file formats.

Yes, the (square) root is the most visible character in Math, that looks
broken (at least on Windows).

Great that you have a look at it!

I just want to repeat my answer from dev-de here.

For 4.1.x it is still blowfish. For 4.2.x you can alternatively choose
AES-256 (for ODF 1.2).
Settings are located at "Tools - Options - Load/Save - General"

Quoted from AOO 4.2.x online help:

File encryption algorithm for ODF 1.2 format

Change the default file encryption from blowfish to AES-256 when ODF 1.2
is used. The default file encryption algorithm is blowfish but when ODF
1.2 is used the user can change the default to AES-256. Older encrypted
documents can still be loaded but new encrypted documents can't be
opened with older office versions. The AES-256 algorithm is more secure
than blowfish.

I quote Branko Čibej from 13.11.18 about the usage of
SCons:

We came to the conclusion that we could give 1.4.x (or trunk) a try.
