 Hi Kay;

Yes we should definitely make an archive of Google+ pages, just not
 sure
where the best place for them to be stored would be.

YouTube itself is not affected. But the right management is linked with
Googles brand accounts.
And "our" brand account is owned by Ariel Constenla-Haile.

So I will still be able to administrate our Channel but I can't do
anything beyond that.
And I will be the only one who has access.

Hi Kay;

Yes we should definitely make an archive of Google+ pages, just not sure

I'm looking into HOW to get the data from G+. It might be nice
(somehow) to import the G+ postings into FB, but the participant info

what the feeds/post look like.
OK. That would be great. I don't do much programming of late. We MAY be
able to use one of their APIs (not investigated yet!) to do SOMETHING.

You may already have found the way to archive Google+ content:
https://takeout.google.com/

Yes, I have seen this. I've done nothing yet. I should get to doing an
archive this week sometime.

It took Google about one week to provide my zip file.

GEE WHIZ! That's kind of unbelievable.

I am also wondering about our YouTube channel. It is linked to the
Google+ brand account, so I have administrative rights. But since I am
not the owner I can not add another administrator/moderator.

YouTube is NOT being affected as far as I know.

Peter/Matthias,

the used template is: https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Template:Uno/UDKlink

This contains a hardcoded link:

[http://{{{2|udk}}}.openoffice.org/source/browse/{{{2|udk}}}/{{{1}}}
{{{2|udk}}}/{{{1}}}][[Category:Wiki Templates]]

I suppose that the path to /source/browse no longer exists.

Can't find anything that looks like it

All extensions are now at https://extensions.openoffice.org/
If your extension is hosted at the new address maybe it needs a little URL
editing
Hope this helps...

Re: Time for our first 4.2.0 beta?

2019-02-24 Thread Matthias Seidel
Hi Jim and all,

As mentioned before, I think we need some more time before doing a
(public) beta.
But I also want to get a wider user base for testing and something
"official" we can base our discussions on.

So here is my proposal:

We could create a tag (snapshot420 or whatever) and build it as a
developer snapshot.
This can be done similar to a beta with the build targets:
openofficedev, ooodevlanguagepack and sdkoodev.

We also have a special splashscreen for a "Developer Snapshot":
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/openoffice/branches/AOO42X/main/ooo_custom_images/dev/introabout/intro.png

I would like to have all recent translations committed and merged before
we create the tag.
March would be a good time, so we could also include the updated English
dictionary.

The build should be uploaded to an official place together with all
hashes and PGP signatures.
It could be announced with a blog post linked on our homepage.

Opinions?

Regards,

   Matthias

extensions description xml doesn't exist

2019-02-24 Thread John D'Orazio
Today I was rebuilding an extension I had written 4 years ago, and I just
happened to look at the "Retriever Output" window in Netbeans, and I found
this error:

23-feb-2019 19.14.23 : Retrieving Location:
http://openoffice.org/extensions/description/2006
Error: File not found in the specified address :
http://www.openoffice.org/extensions/description/2006

If I try to navigate to http://openoffice.org/extensions/description/2006 I
get a "page not found".

In the wiki the only reference is to this page:
https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/DevGuide/Extensions/Description_of_XML_Elements

Should this xml descriptor still exist in this location?
