Test cases in Testlink are derived from the test cases used for

So if we want structured testing of Base we'll need someone (or
several people) to write some test cases. Or we could do informal,
use-based testing like we did with 3.4./3.4.1. But best to get some
tests defined so we can have consistent coverage. That will require
that someone with expertise as a Base user step up to lead this.

OK...this is what I figured after a while. The big problem with testing for
Base is the availability of a test DB(s) to test connectivity in some way
-- our indigenous MySQL connector, jdbc etc. Any ideas about that?

hi,Rob

I inform Priority and Severity fields from BZ help

   1.

*Priority:* The bug assignee uses this field to prioritize his or her
bugs. It's a good idea not to change this on other people's bugs.
   2.

*Severity:* This indicates how severe the problem is - from blocker
(application unusable) to trivial (minor cosmetic issue). You can also
use this field to indicate whether a bug is an enhancement request.

if you are interested in other fields ,you can get from

https://issues.apache.org/ooo/docs/en/html/bug_page.html

For the level for Priority and Severity , refer

SeverityMeaningBlockerBlocks further development and/or testing work.

Maybe someone can help clarify something: The BZ form has two fields
for rating bugs: P1/P2/P3/P4 field and a
 blocker/critical/major/normal/minor/trivial field. What is the
 difference?

Also, the 4.0 release blocker has 3 values: ?/+/-. The way we did it
before was to set the field to ? to propose it as a blocker, and
then discuss it on the dev mailing list. If there was consensus it
was a blocker then the value is changed to +.

Subject: Apache OpenOffice 4.0 Logo Survey now Open!
   From: robw...@apache.org
   To: dev@openoffice.apache.org; market...@openoffice.apache.org;
  us...@openoffice.apache.org

The Apache OpenOffice project is planning a brand refresh for our
next major release, Apache OpenOffice 4.0. As part of this effort we
are looking to update our logo.

We've received 40 proposals from community members and we would like
   your feedback on these designs.

Great! many nice logo designs, and quite different...

You can find the survey here:

   http://survey.openoffice.org/index.php/815178/

I'm having trouble getting to the actual logo survey with Chrome. After
answering the first demographical questions, I can't submit them: the
  Next button won't work.
  I'm using Chrome Versión 26.0.1410.64 m, on Windows 7 SP1 (x64)
I tried a couple of times, same result.

I finally submitted my votes using Firefox. I also tried Opera, next
  button works fine.

Thanks in advance for your participation and feedback.

Thank you for setting up the survey!
