Yes, I understand that, but I'm just trying to help and you say it yourself: "The more different testing, the better." I am aware that the current method of testing is not very systematic, but since we are suffering from a lack of programmers, I think it is right to help the few programmers in the best way possible. The latter means that I also find fast, orienting tests useful when helping programmers with their practical work. greetings, Jörg - To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@openoffice.apache.org

Re: Reported OLE issue w/ RC2
I just installed AOO 4.1.4 pre-RC3 on my business notebook with Windows 7 64bit. The bug is not reproducible for me... (Tried it also in Windows 10 64bit and Windows 7 32bit) Matthias Am 20.09.2017 um 14:56 schrieb Pedro Lino: > Under Windows 7 x64 the equation does display correctly but there is no way > to save the document without crashing. > > AOO crashes when inserting the equation in Writer but also when opening a > Math/Formula file and simply by typing an equation in Math. Re: Reported OLE issue w/ RC2
If I close through the File menu, I get the crash dialog, but the file was in fact successfully saved and opens correctly. I recommend against fixing this in 4.1.4. We need to do work on file save for 4.2 anyway, and I would rather not delay 4.1.4 unless absolutely necessary. Under Windows 7 x64 the equation does display correctly but there is no way to save the document without crashing. AOO crashes when inserting the equation in Writer but also when opening a Math/Formula file and simply by typing an equation in Math. See detailed instructions in https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=126180 It is not a 4.1.4 specific bug. This is a regression in 4.1.x (at least since 4.1.2). Re: Reported OLE issue w/ RC2
That specific bug has already been tested. It is a symptom of the unfortunate fact that what I don't know about the AOO source code can hurt us, in the form of unexpected regressions. The more different testing, the better. Linked files are the general area that should be hit most, but any and all regression testing is useful.
