As I said in my previous e-mail, this comes from ^M added in some lines
of the bootstrap file.
once removed I get the second issue... (SRC_ROOT not taken into account).

I have been building OO.org src tar balls since ver 1.1.4 to ver 2.2.1
without too many difficulty, on XP SP2, since about 4 years now (with
4NT, I recently used the latest version 8.x)
