That way people can give feedback that might help to improve the
searching method.
I think that would be better than asking on the lists.

To create a new OOo installation in ~/m192 I run it like this with
absolute paths
$ ./install_linux.sh /path/to/rpm /home/jim/m192
There are other ways and some probably better, but this will get you
started quickly. Look
bash. This changes the value returned by uname -m.
I didn't try this for a long time, as I think it would hide any bugs
based on wrong uses of uname -m.

the relevant part of the message is:
cannot find -lXaw
Do you have libxaw? This should have caused an error from the
configure step. Try configure without using the flag --with-x, and
also check the configure --help in case some other flags are not needed.

the issue in this case - users see that
this is clearly a bug or a defect, but the developer says the
behaviour is intended.
Users are not capable to define a specification so the bug will never
be fixed.
Too bad it is a serious defect that prevents wider adoption of OOo.

nothing saved. I can save the spreadsheet with SaveAs under a new

have a look in Tools - Options - OOo - Paths, are those paths all valid?

Therefore i think you need to check out at least the source modules for
config_office and solenv and then run the configure and bootstrap as
described in the tools.openoffice.org

demangle those symbols with c++filt for example:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/ooo$ c++filt _ZN9ScCellObj13SetValue_ImplEd
ScCellObj::SetValue_Impl(double)
I guess the stacktrace is generated by signal.c see here:

hope that helps,
