I was wondering about this this morning, and had a few questions...
First, what if we used something like "R-Calc" or "R 2 Calc" / "R2Calc"? So
we just modify the RCalc to something similar but different enough to be OK.

Hi Wojciech et al,
Rose works for me! I like it a lot. Anyone else?
This is really a difficult task. Apart from the legal issues, it's also
the question what associations you want to have.
When I hear "Rose" in a computer context, I think of Rational Rose. When

I like that one. Quite in the spirit of StarCalc.
The current RCalc is fine too, but overlaps with others, e.g. rCalc

4.) RooT => R-OpenOfiice Tool
4') ROOT
I personally disfavor this one, as ROOT is a well-known data analysis
tool used in particle physics.

Hi,
Sorry for the many posts, but I became even more creative:
1.) ROOSE => R-OpenOffice Statistical Extension/Environment
2.) iCaRuS => integrated Calc-R utility for Statistics
3.) StatOOR => Statistics in OpenOffice with R
Sincerely,
