Re: [Dev] Support Tomcat Virtual Hosts in WSO2 AS - issues and progress so far
Hi, I have implemented the above solution as below. 1. I created an interface Axis2DeployerProvider with a method getDeployerConfigs inside org.wso2.carbon.utils.deployment. 2. I then created a service inside package org.wso2.carbon.webapp.deployer.internal implementing the above interface. I also registered the service as an OSGi service inside its activate() method. I implemented the logic to read virtualhosts and their appBase values and list them as an array of DeployerConfig objects. 3. Then I have modified getAxisConfiguration() method of CarbonAxisConfigurator inside org.wso2.carbon.core to read the above array via, ServiceTracker deployerServiceTracker =new ServiceTracker(bundleContext, Axis2DeployerProvider.class.getName(),null); deployerServiceTracker.open(); Axis2DeployerProvider axis2DeployerProvider = (Axis2DeployerProvider)deployerServiceTracker.getService(); 4. I have updated register() method in both Axis2DeployerRegistry GhostDeployerRegistry to add the deployers to deployment engine. public void register(Bundle[] bundles, DeployerConfig[] deployerConfigs) { for (Bundle bundle : bundles) { register(bundle); } for(DeployerConfig deployerConfig : deployerConfigs){ Deployer deployer = getDeployer(deployerConfig.getClassStr()); addDeployer(deployerConfig, deployer); } } After the modifications webapps deploy before management console is up. Now we need to improve the Axis2DeployerRegistry.register() method handle the other type of deployers. e.g. Webapp deployers for registered virtual hosts. In this solution Axis2DeployerRegistry asks the dynamic webapp deployer list from the webapp-mgt component using an OSGi service registered by the webapp-mgt component. In order to achieve this we can introduce a generic interface. Say Axis2DeployerProvider. webapp-mgt component implements this interface and register an OSGi service. Say VirtualHostWebappDeployerProvider. Now Axis2DeployerRegistry.register() method can get all the OSGi services which implement the Axis2DeployerProvider interface and get the deployer list and register them. Easy.. Re: [Dev] WSO2ES 1.1.0 - Failed to add asset Error
Hi Ajith, Thank you very much for the reply. :) Yes, I went through the log. My requirement is how to give authorization to the user. Since I am using same configuration as default asset types such as 'ebook', how can I not have permission for the created asset type(say 'cartridge'). When I assign 'admin' role to the created user, I can add assets without any issue. But my requirement is, users other than 'admin' to be able to add assets. [Dev] [BAM] Can insert data in to a already created database using hive script?
Hi, I have created a hive script to get published data in BAM and add that into external mysql databases. Before starting BAM I created database schema and relevant tables in mysql. Hive script execution was succeeded but data were not inserted in to the table. Afterwards I dropped the table from mysql and executed the hive script. Then table was created and inserted data in to table with out any issue. Is this the way it should be worked? Can't we use a existing table through hive script? [Dev] DBDeployer setting wrong user relam to the Carbon Context.
Hi all I came across following issue recently. Always first call done to AS (As a tenant when tenant is not loaded yet) it fails with access denied. The reason was in authorization handler when we retrieve user realm from carbon context, its not tenant's realm it's super tenant realm. When I was debugging further I found that DBDeployer [1] is setting the wrong user realm to carbon context replacing the correct one set by Carbon Authentication Util. Is there a specific reason for this. Can we fix this to set the correct values ? Re: [Dev] [BAM] Can insert data in to a already created database using hive script?
You can use existing tables. In that scenario don't use create query property. Instead of that use *mapred.jdbc.output.table.name* property in the hive query to map your existing table. Refer [1] to more information about hive jdbc handler. [Dev] [AF] Dataservice apps cannot read datasources created via App Factory.
Hi all, I came through the problem above. So after lot of debugging I managed to make it work with following changes. 1. Change the sample dataservice as below change property name=carbon_datasource_nameTestDS/property to property name=jndi_resource_namejdbc/TestDS/property 2. Change DB deployer to set application name to carbon context at the start of deployment and remove it at the end. Diff is attached. So I can go ahead with first change in AF side. But we need the second change in AS/DSS side to make this work. So can we add this to DBDeployer. I guess we need this in all service deployers. AFAIK we already have this in webapp deployers. WDYT? Do I have to build all the patch from the start to overcome this?. thanks, -- Supun Malinga, Senior Software Engineer, WSO2 Inc. http://wso2.com email: sup...@wso2.com sup...@wso2.com mobile: +94 (0)71 56 91 321 ___ Dev mailing list Dev@wso2.org http://wso2.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dev

Re: [Dev] Support Tomcat Virtual Hosts in WSO2 AS - issues and progress so far
As in the implementation, I have hard-coded the webapp deployer class as, deployerConfig.setClassStr(org.wso2.carbon.webapp.deployer.WebappDeployer); . So that webapps inside appBase locations of virtual hosts will be deployed using the given deployer class. Is there a proper way to set deployer class? Add webapps to above appBase locations (eg; put STRATOS_ROOT inside lh, put example.war to webapps and jaxrs_basic.war to vhost) 3. WDYT? [Dev] Tough error inside BAM Demo
Hey guys, I'm having a bit of a problem here using BAM. I'm trying to run this demo ( https://github.com/wso2-dev/wso2-marketing-demos/tree/master/focus-areas/big-data(big-brother)/social-stream-analytic-twitter), and I keep getting this error in the server console: java.io.UTFDataFormatException: encoded string too long: 66551 bytes at java.io.DataOutputStream.writeUTF(DataOutputStream.java:364) ... at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.LocalJobRunner$Job.run(LocalJobRunner.java:257) I've looked on the internet, and some other people have reported this error (https://wso2.org/jira/browse/BAM-580). I've tried a bunch of different versions of BAM, and I've looked through all the files in the toolbox definition to see if anything pops out as especially unusual. I can't find anything. I don't get this error when I try one of the standard, built-in BAM toolboxes. Also note that for that jira issue, they say they get it just every once in a while, but for me, i get it every time the hadoop job runs. Any ideas on whats wrong, or where I can look more?
