This is sorted out now, or at least it is not really my problem, right? (there *is* the weirdness that for texlive, the texmfcnf.lua lives in the 'luatex' package, not in 'context', but that is just a minor packaging issue). What other macro packages use texmfcnf.lua? Does LuaLaTeX use it?
