To install any plugins you at least need plugman which requires node. Our
users are most likely going to have to install node as a dependency at some
point. I don't see why having it as a dependency for platform libraries is
such a big deal.

I want to try and flush out the process for merging the dev branches for
the core plugins into master and get it onto the wiki.
Currently the dev branches have some readme changes, namespace changes and
package changes for android.
I don't believe any of these changes should be breaking changes.
Thanks for the feedback Andrew!
Sounds good to me. I am going to go through these steps today.

I like the idea of working on master and tagging a plugin when it is ready

FFOS will be tagged tomorrow. I have a few changes I am going to get in
tomorrow before tagging but it will be good to go very soon!
With FFOS, Only two plugins have been ported so far (vibration and device).
We are going to continue to add firefoxos support to plugins post release.

I think for plugins it should be unassigned by default seeing how it can

final release has been push till thursday to allow more time to test. Is
this correct?
