Hi all,
The vote to retire MRQL passes with 2 binding +1 (John D. Ament, Alan Cabrera)
and 3 non-binding +1 (Atri Sharma, Pierre Smits, Leonidas Fegaras).
There were no -1 votes. Thanks all for your vote.
I will take care of the next steps that do not need mentor privileges.
According to the "Guide to Retirement", a mentor or other volunteer
needs to perform some of the steps to retirement. Any volunteer?

Hi all,
After a discussion on the dev@mrql list [1], the MRQL community has
voted to retire the project [2]. I am now calling for a followup vote
on IPMC to confirm the decision to retire MRQL.
MRQL is incubating for more than four years but has been dormant
during the last four months. MRQL had four releases but very little
community growth. Due to lack of activity and growth in the podling,
I call for a vote to retire the podling. The vote will be open for at
least 72 hours. Please vote on retiring MRQL:

The retirement vote has passed with no -1 votes, no 0 votes, and one +1
vote (binding) from the MRQL podling PMC/committers. The +1 vote was from me.
Since we didn't get a weigh-in from any mentor or PPMC member on the retirement

Dear MRQL community,
According to the "Guide to Retirement" [1] and after the request for
public discussion on the MRQL dev list [2], I would like to call for a
vote to retire MRQL.
MRQL has been dormant during the last four months. MRQL is incubating
for more than four years. We had four releases but very little
community growth (one new PMC member in 2014 and one new committer in
2016). Due to lack of activity and growth in the podling, I call for
a vote to retire the podling.
The vote will be held open for at least 120 hours (5 days).
If there are no negative binding votes, I will call for a follow-up
vote on the Incubator PMC to confirm the decision to retire MRQL.
Please vote on retiring MRQL:

[ ]  0  I am undecided
[ ] -1  No, do not retire Apache MRQL because...
