I'd like to propose we discuss an East Asian Regional Conference for this June.
The linguistic focus would be CJK but other linguistic regions are more than
welcome to participate. These could include, say, Vietnamese, Cambodian, etc.,
though in the end it may make more sense to hold separate

I'd like to send a belated but no less warm welcome to the new Council members,
Olivier Hallot and Eike Rathke. Welcome to the Council!
Both new members are longtime contributors to and representatives of active
communities. Olivier has been one of the leads of the Brazilian
Peter Junge and I are trying to see whether it makes sense to set up a CJK
RegiCon this or next year. Makes sense means, inter alia, whether we can
find sponsors, venue, people, and what the schedule of things to work on should
be. I for one would want to resolve (or not) issues related to
