Hi there,
Stefan, we still carry this release showstopper with us in STATUS:

Hi Harrie,
I liked the document you wrote about Kannel's API structure. Hope that
more of the other developers have a chance to review it. I'll have a
deaper look into the patch itself.
IMO, the way apache-1.3 does the modularization may be addopted to
Kannel for those API purposes. What do the

Hmmm, 15 msg/sec seems to be the limit of your EMI/UCP link, not
Kannel's abilities to ha

any more votes for setting --with-defaults=speed for the "default"
configure behaviour?

please drop a note to the list when this is fixed and we'll start to
tag and roll the 1.2.0 release.

-1 from me. Logging applications are often associated with billing
and using local time makes it difficult duri

May we set malloc=native and localtime=enabled per default in
configure ?
and what about assertiondefault ? should we leave if enabled
or disable it ? --with-defaults=speed disables it.
I do already have

of course it does as you run into the malloc limitation, use
malloc=native and you wont have this problem. This is number 1
question on the FAQ...

Not on cygwin, but sometimes I get a similar (maybe identical) behaviour on Linux,
where I have to manually open each port in minicom, after a reboot, before kannel is
able to talk to it. still haven't figured this one out.

Hi Alex,
never had such problem with at2 and cygwin, with 7 wavecom modems,
in 3 different machine, w2000 advanced server or nt.
The only problem is that sometimes smsbox fails to read fd 18
or something like that so it restarts throught the internal windows
service.
Andrea
On my test servers here I have to manually unblock the serial port
connection to each of my modems using Hyperterminal or the like each time I
reboot my system before Kannel is able to connect to the modems connected to
it.
I've read on the CygWin list that there is some potentially different

Hi,
I have tried to install the gnome libxml2, after
configure and make/compile, it produces some error
message saying that; "cannot link shared libraries
into libtool libraries". Does anyone knows how to
handle this problem with the gnome-xml library
problem? If I don't compile this new version,
Kannel should not have a 5Mb store size - that in itself is an indication that
something is wrong. when you get an "empty reply from service provider", it means that
your application returned an empty reply instead of an MT message, and you did not
specify "omit empty" in the sms-service config
Kannel choked with a 5 meg store compiled with malloc=debug, it handled
a 2 meg store with no issues on a binary compiled with malloc=native.
However all the replies it sent out on that 2 meg store defaulted to
. I think I read somewhere this was the
default kannel reply when it gets confused. Als
