Dependant on the volume of traffic surely you could just parse the logfile
into the database every 5 minutes? Then the latency is down to 5 minutes.

sed with the reliability of this box.
Noka 6210 works perfectly. Currently testing that now and it seems much
more reliable than the Siemens kit.

rrives instead of to a text file.
MTA is a bad example. The size and content of an email message can range
massively. Incoming SMS text messages are limited 160 chars per message so
the overhead and storage required for 10,000 text messages is nothing
compared to 10,000 email messages.
ied in smsbox config or sms-service config?

- Which daemon should handle this? Would this be part of bearerbox, smsbox
or some sub-part of it? I suspect the bearerbox as this is handling the
incoming messages.
- I'd prefer to build the code against 1.2.0 release. Would I be better off
using the CVS version?

This is looking more like a bug in kannel.

The message was sent at 3:59pm local time today. I can only assume that
kannel is misinterpreting the date on the message. I've got a similar
response from three different models of phone on three differ
been flawless but for one bug:
The date on text messages is totally incorrect (out by about 100 years and
some random amount of days and hours). I'm unsure if this is the driver or
the box and posted a question to the mailing list about it but have not had
any replies as yet.

add-ons that do this or will I have to use a manual solution (as I
currently do)?
Currently it calls an exec command on the default sms-service which executes
a script, passing the relevant parameters to it. However this is still
subject to the date bug.
