setup I have some SMSC connections which are polled over a dialup link.
There is a script that connects the PPP link periodically, sends
a way more elegant solution is to set the 'alt-dcs' value to the GSM
alphabet to force the smsc to use the GSM alphabet and deliver the
msg in 7-bit text.
Messing in the smpp module to circumvent your specific smsc problem is
not a legitime solution IMO.
