release means that individual components can be updated as
soon as they release upstream.
I've been doing this a while,
F16 yum --releasever=17 update --bugfixes --exclude=fedora-release*

the user feels the burned media, should match the iso.
I tried to explain, it's difficult.

As far as I can tell there is no md5 embedded in the download.isos
But not getting into too much detail,
there is a user who is convinced there is.
