Did something change with ssh-agent in F24?

Previously in F23, an ssh-agent was running when I started a gnome session. I believe (perhaps incorrectly) that this was being provided by gnome-keyring-daemon. Now, it appears that one isn't running. When I type "ssh-add -L", I get the message: "Could not open a connection to your authentication
