Orpahing notepadqq

2020-11-05 Thread Jan De Luyck
Hi list,

Due to limited/no movement in the upstream[1] and more and more dependencies
(nodejs packages) being orphaned within Fedora, I'm planning to orphan
notepadqq.

If someone wants to step up and try to get it back working, let me/Sagitter
know.

Kind regards,

Jan

Re: List of long term FTBFS packages to be retired in February (beta)

2019-11-28 Thread Jan De Luyck
Hi List,

Due to time constraints in my private life (which have changed a lot lately)
I'm going to orphan Notepadqq.

If anybody is interested?

nodejs-archiver orphaned - broken dependency

2019-11-10 Thread Jan De Luyck
Hi list,

I've fbeen a bit afk wrt fedora devel (due to responsibilities in life) - I
somehow completely missed toe F31 release, and I'm starting to pick up
again now.

I've noticed that nodejs-archiver has been orphaned, and is not included in
F31, breaking my package (notepadqq) completely.

I'm wondering what the way to go forward with this is - I can include the
source in my package, but that's something I'd rather not do.

I can take a peek at nodejs-archiver, but I'm not a nodejs person so
probably far from a good candidate to take up maintainership on that
package.

Kind regards,

Jan

Re: Orphaned packages need new maintainers

2019-04-27 Thread Jan De Luyck
What's the status of those next to my name that my package notepadqq is
depending on?
(namely nodejs-archiver-utils, nodejs-crc32-stream,
nodejs-compress-commons, nodejs-tar-stream, nodejs-archiver,
nodejs-zip-stream)

(I have little time at the moment to keep track of packages - just
wondering, because otherwise I might offer notepadqq up for orphaning)

Kind regards

Jan

Re: hibernation — does it work for you?

2018-10-08 Thread Jan De Luyck
Yes - works for me, reliably, on a Dell XPS13 L322X - using F27/28. Was a
bit hickuppy in F27, but haven't had any issues with F28 that I can recall.

Self introduction

2017-12-10 Thread Jan De Luyck
Hello people,

I've recently submitted a package to be included with Fedora, and since
I'm new on the packager block, I'm throwing in this intro ;) (als also
recommended/required by the guidelines)

The package I've sent up is NotepadQQ, a 'clone' of a well-known editor
for Windows. I'm working with Ben Rosser to get this up to Fedora
standards - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1519785

I've got several years of on-my-own packaging for Debian under my belt,
maintained some packages in my own repo's. I've got plenty of
professional RHEL experience from my day job, and using Fedora right now
(I have at least one Fedora box in the house at all times) for my main
machine.

I'm also an android fan, having made several roms (porting LineageOS's
predecessor to unsupported devices). So I do know my way around
sourcecode ;)

You can find my GPG key at https://www.kcore.org/txt/EF3EE450.asc
