incompatibilities does exist then I'd rather to invest some time in
fixing application to recognize and build against libjpeg-turbo.

I don't use eventlog directly or indirectly anymore, so I have very
little motivation to spend my time on it. I decided to release my
ownership of the EPEL branches. Fortunately other co-maintainers are
very active so it won't be abandoned completely.
