Sorry for the late update; the reporting mechanism for our voting
software temporarily broke.

Summary: the winner was **GNU GPL version 3, or any later version**.

## Results Details ##

55 out of 217 eligible members voted, or a little more than ¼.

The full results of this election ranked the candidates in order of
preference (from most preferred to least preferred):

 1. GNU GPL version 3, or any later version
 2. GNU GPL version 2, or any later version
 3. Don't know or don't care

Each number in the table below shows how many times the candidate on the
left beat the matching candidate on the top. The winner is on the top of
the left column.
v3 v2 DC
v3 -- 34 37
v2 21 -- 42
DC 18 13 --

Based on a sheer count of 1st place votes, v3 received 49% of the vote,
v2 received 29% of the vote, and the apathetic position received the
remaining 22% of the vote.

Full details (and alternative election method calculations) are visible
at the Selectricity page linked in the original voting ticket email.

Thanks,

Re: glade.so missing from /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/gtk-2,0/gtk

2011-07-10 Thread James Cameron
G'day George,

pygtk2-libglade was only incidentally in 10.1.3, and is possibly not
required by Sugar. It was also in 8.2.1.

You might bundle the library with your activity or application in order
to be compatible with 11.2.0. Or, if you are building a deployment
image, add the pygtk2-libglade package.

http://wiki.sugarlabs.org/go/0.88/Platform_Components lists the platform
components that a Sugar activity author can expect to find available.

This package pygtk2-libglade is not explicitly in the list, though the
list does mention PyGTK, and gtk.glade is listed in the PyGTK reference
manual.

I can't find a list of platform components for Sugar 0.82 used by 8.2.1,
but PyGTK is listed for Sugar 0.84, and Sugar 0.86.

I have retested v19.1 and I cannot reproduce the error. I'll do more
testing, but can you please double-check that you have the correct
version installed (that the line self.abacus.mode.reset_abacus() is in
AbacusActivity.py).

thanks.
