ALL radio commands (iwconfig) should be issued to the ethX interface.
The only commands issued to the mshX interface are those related to

As we move from a model of preinstalled activities to one where an
installer contains a core OS and a number of activities to be installed,
the Activities page on the Wiki is sadly lacking.

Morgan,
Did you follow the thread last week where using the instructions
you put into the Wiki didn't work ? Using the old instructions did.
At this point, I've set up over a half dozen ejabberd servers using
the old directions, and collaboration works.

Thanks for the info ! This is good news, as it means that schools
up to a hundred students should work right now, given a school server
and three active antennas...

I was told that 17 laptops were associated on Friday, w. lots of
bandwidth
left over.
Question 1: What is "lots of bandwidth" ? CSMC networks don't work
well
past around 50 - 60% of available bandwidth...
Question 2: Did this bandwidth measurement include the relayed WDS
frames ?

Yeah, but unfortunately, we (me and Ricardo) couldn't get DD-WRT to
work on the WRT-54Gs
on Thursday. It installed fine, but configuring it to just be a
bridged access point (and not
a gateway) wasn't happening. It is going to be a problem in the
field asking "lightly trained"
users to
renew our efforts to provide low power,
environmentally robust
servers for rural schools. It is also time to begin work on the
next generation of
laptop hardware.

Either you are using a jabber server or you aren't.
After setting the server name using the sugar-control-panel,
you probably have to reboot for the sugar presence service
to actually register with the server. Once registered with
the server, a laptop will use the server for presence if found.

The partitioning we made between the network processor and the
main processor was pretty clean. Unfortunately, it doesn't support
low power operation. I suggest rethinking the partition for Gen2.

We ALWAYS have multicast traffic. Blindly waking on each
received multicast packet will ensure that we only sleep for
milliseconds.

Those messages are certainly from the driver, but it has been tested
and works fine with multiple antenna. The most likely source of this
problem is old firmware in the second antenna. Please take a look at:
