Hi Ganesh,
I wrote this down a while back when I was figuring out how to get SoaS to
register and backup with an XS, hope this helps you.
The registration process begins when an XO laptop user clicks on the avatar
and then clicks Register from the drop down menu. This action executes *
Hello Martin,
Things got suddenly busy and I was not able to keep track of this.
How much work is needed to get XS to support the new DS format that
Blueberry uses. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
Best,

Hi Martin.
I just wanted to ask what the significance is of the version file in the
datastore. There is a function ds_version in dsbackuplib.php which
checks the version number.
It seems that if the version is greater than 2 it will always return
the message Datastore is corrupt, or has unknown

Good to hear you've narrowed it down. I'll probably have to apply

Can I get a sample of the metadata directory of a downloaded backup

Thanks in advance,

Hi Martin,
Two options there: moodle isn't serving it with the right mime-type
(application/vnd.olpc-journal-entry) or something is going amiss in
the Browse.xo-Journal handling of the file.
If you can do a packet capture of when you download the file, you
should be able to see the
Hi Martin,
We are testing the process involved in replacing a lost stick.
In moodle we use the alias feature to associate the old account (lost
stick) with a new one (new stick).
We are seeing a problem after aliasing. When you visit the backup tab we
get the error message
Datastore is

Hi Martin,
My responses inline ...
- Can you confirm date --utc is correct on the XS and on the involved XOs?
Yes, date--utc on both XS and XO's are the same if not close to each
other, the difference being a few seconds.
- If you look at the datastore-timestamp directories - are the
Actually - time() is doiing the right thing. It was the use of
mktime() that was bogus. Replace mktime() with gmmtime(), the 3 times
it appears in dsbackuplib.php and the problem is gone.
Thanks Martin :-)
thanks for the debugging!
You're welcome.
Hello,
I'm not sure if anybody has noticed this yet but after doing a backup,
it seems the datestamps on the backup page are wrong.
For instance, after a recent backup the backup page in moodle says that
the last backup was 4 hours ago even though monitoring the cron logs

Hello Tomeu,
The modifications are intended for SoaS only but I'm programming them in
such a way that they should not break if Sugar is running on SoaS.
Although I already have patches in the form of diffs, they were not
created using 'git format-patch. I've read the code review procedures

I'm confused, did you meant to say not break if _not_ running on SoaS?
Haha, yes sorry. I meant that it should not break when running in an
