the objectives for today's Hack'n'ACK are:
- getting #3494 (https://github.com/RIOT-OS/RIOT/pull/3494) merged
- getting #3946 (https://github.com/RIOT-OS/RIOT/pull/3496) merged
- merging #3450 (https://github.com/RIOT-OS/RIOT/pull/3450) or find another
workaround (or a real fix)
