XRandr implementation

Hi can someone help me digging into XRandr extensions ? I want to further develop this since i am porting linux to a Tablet PC and therefore we need to have rotation on the fly to compete with the MS implementation with pivot . i started looking into the siliconmotion driver ( this is the chip
