Hi all,
we have a new web site today. We have tried to present DHIS 2 and the
community in a more comprehensive way, give the site a modern look and have
it scale well on mobile devices.
The site is built on a zen-based drupal theme and runs on nginx/php.

This might be pointing to a larger debate I feel:
About Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Vs Software deployment. Enough has been

critiqued by some,
Looks very beautiful...
love the website and the typography!!

Thanks a lot, Lars - truly a great leap forward!
Really like the clean, spaciousness - though perhaps the screenshot on the
Demo page could be placed slightly higher, I only get an inkling that it is
there on my laptop without scrolling.

Hi all,
DHIS 2 version 2.12 is released. We have some great new features for you:
- All analysis tools are working against the analytics Web API. This means
that the system is no longer dependent on the resource-demanding data mart
process and running it is now optional. You can still run data

Yes Saptarshi I think you are right this does really touch on much bigger
issues. And as Johan points out the comparison in the blog post is mostly
a straw man argument.
One could quite easily set up a free (as in beer) hosting service for
dhis2, with a model of providing extras at a cost. In
Hi everybody
Yes, the debate is quite interesting but I guess it traces back to a basic
divide line: information systems are not equal to information systems
software. Period. It was already discussed in DHIS2 users forum. I would
focus the discussion about software alternatives in terms of
Just checked out the new data visualizer... great to be able to select category
option combinations now! It seems that none of my favorites from version 2.11
work. Error message when I load them is: No filter dimensions specified.
