[Dhis2-users] Legend for option sets

2018-02-19 Thread Natalie Tibbels
Hi all,

Is it possible to color code or label tracked entities in GIS? I am using
tracker to map community structures (schools, product distribution points,
CBOs, etc).

Could I set up a legend set to have the different types of structures show up
in different colors on the map, based on the option set – so schools in green,
distribution points in blue, for example. I can only find a way to make a
continuous legend, rather than colors/icons associated with categorical options.

Could I, in addition, have a certain data element (the name of the structure)
show up as a label on the map?

Grateful for any help!

Re: [Dhis2-users] Posting Metadata in dhis2.

2018-02-19 Thread Isaiah Nyabuto
Hi Jason,

Thank you. I wasn't able to post my organisation Units metadata because of
the following error.

"{\"httpStatus\":\"Internal Server
Error\",\"httpStatusCode\":500,\"status\":\"ERROR\",\"message\":\"object
references an unsaved transient instance - save the transient instance
before flushing: org.hisp.dhis.organisationunit.OrganisationUnit\"}"

I wish I knew how to solve that through the API. However, I imported the
organisation units using the csv file import. I followed along your guide
and I was able to post all other metadata and data values - Thank you.

Thanks Ignacio, hopefully it will be implemented soon. I don’t think it’s
unexpected in some communities for people using the app to be sharing their
device with other friends / family if it’s a personal device. I’m not familiar
with the technical side of the application, do you know if the data on the
device is encrypted at rest?

Hi Ed,

In the Current DHIS2 Apps there's no way to ask for the password in a
per-session basis (nothing like a sign-out + sign-in without DB wipe). As far
as I know, there are plans for this on the new app (at least we've already
provided such a function in the new SDK) but regarding the new app roadmap I'm
not the appropriate person to talk, so I leave Marta to complete my answer.

In the meanwhile, I would suggest protecting your device with a PIN, so only
the authorized person can unblock the device.

I hope it helps.

Best regards

Hi Ed,

I can’t speak to the Tracker data capture, but I had a similar problem in the
Android Data Capture app for aggregate data. I ended up creating users who were
assigned to organizations only at the level of data collection: so in this
case, the particular hospital wards that they were working. It was possible to
collect data for multiple locations, as long as those locations were
individually specified for each user individually. The permissions didn’t
filter down to lower orgUnit levels the way that they do in the web data entry
forms.

Hope this helps!

Hi all,

I have a similar issue to Mike's. I'm trying to calculate time differences

Re: [Dhis2-users] Android applications security risk

2018-02-19 Thread Ignacio Foche
Hi Ed,

In the Current DHIS2 Apps there's no way to ask for the password in a
per-session basis (nothing like a sign-out + sign-in without DB wipe). As
far as I know, there are plans for this on the new app (at least we've
already provided such a function in the new SDK) but regarding the new app
roadmap I'm not the appropriate person to talk, so I leave Marta to
complete my answer.

In the meanwhile, I would suggest protecting your device with a PIN, so
only the authorized person can unblock the device.

I hope it helps.

Best regards
