Hi Danny, I know it has been asked before; sadly. I "cc'd" them at HQ with the same question, to be fair. I agree re their 160 meters ops also. It was a marginal problem on 80 under the older FCC constraints but the recent changes only amplify the issue. Many of us predicted the effects of dig

Bill, it is a question many have asked, none have been impressed by any answer they might have gotten. Why do they set on 1.817 and blast away when expeditions are using nearby freqs? Why do they open up on top of other on-going conversations, all up and down the bands? Because they can, and the

(Stepping lightly) Why, with the recent changes, does ARRL/W1AW still transmit without listening on 3.580? We all know far too well how compressed for bandwidth the digital modes are on 80 meters due to recent FCC changes. Yet W1AW persists to take a slice of this compressed band-space to tran

Simon, Have you considered sending just the digimode output instead of the audi stream? I did that for RPSK and it worked well, using a very simple protocol over TCP. The subsampled spectrum output, phase, signal quality, and RX data is lower bandwidth than an uncompressed audio stream. One
